Someone trashed Lily’s and Daniel’s apartment.  Devon seems ok, he says that someone hit him over the head when he got home.  He didn’t see who hit him.

Lily doesn’t understand why someone would rob them when they don’t have anything.

Devon blames the “frat jerks”.  Lily says,  “Those beta beta jerks, I’m going to call the police.”

Carson stops by the cafe and asks Kevin if anyone’s ever robbed him.  Kevin says that his car stereo was jacked once.  Carson mentions getting a portable motion detector because someone went into his hotel room the other night.  Carson asks what kind of security system they have at the cafe and Kevin says top of the line, no one can lift his secret coffee grind.  Kevin gets Carson a cappuccino on the house.

In Cane’s office, a hysterical Amber says that she loves Carson so much, that she did care about the money at first, but not anymore.  She will do a post-nup as long as she can be with him.

Daniel calls Amber but Cane takes the phone and blames Amber for having an affair with Daniel.  Cane says as much as he loves her, he despises her even more.

Michael preps Phyllis for her court date.  She warns Phyllis and Nick not to exchange loving looks in the courtroom or anything that can be misinterpreted.  He tells her not to wear dangly earrings or leopard print.  “Think K Chancellor, not my mother,” Michael says.

“Doing a lapdance on the judge’s bench, that’s out of the question?” Phyllis jokes.  Nick is not amused.

Phyllis says, “I may not be a great mother, but I’m the only mother my daughter has.”

Michael points out the Constitution says they need proof beyond a reasonable doubt, which they have tons of.

Nick says that he’s partial to innocent until proven guilty.

Sharon says she doesn’t have to testify for a few more days.  Nick says that he’s not at the trial because he didn’t want to fake being a loving husband.

“How does one night turn into an affair?”

“I think that you’d call that a one night stand.”

“Thank you!  Not that sounds any better.”

Nick suggests she get away for awhile, and in a really bad fake accent.  Nick says he could go with her.  She eats a banana.

Sharon’s condition is no TV, cell phones, Internet.

Amber is crying in the hallway.  Kevin sees her.  He invites her into his apartment.  She realizes that Cane doesn’t have to divorce her because they were never legally married.

Kevin tells Paul and Michael that Jana is fearless and loves taking risks. He informs them that he should have caught on since she read about serial killers, keeps scrapbooks of serial killers. Michael jokes that Kevin has been keeping tabs on Jana since she’s been back all the way to her breakfast food. Kevin quips, “Small animals and children.”

Kevin wants Paul to find out about Jana before she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and to prove she was sane before and she’s faking now.

At the gym, Logan flirts with Brad. She jokes that he spent more than the 20 minutes allowed on the weight machine. She mentions that she applied for a job at Memorial. They joke about being trapped in the elevator together. He says he figured she’d want to be more of the “bear whisperer” type. She says she misses being a doctor.

She says it’s time for a new start. He says it’s a big day for the both of them, they’re both making fresh starts.

victoria and JT go to lunch together. victoria and brad are signing divorce papers. jt says he wants to go because he wants some of victoria to rub off on her. victoria laughs and says she’ll be fine and doesn’t need her hand held.

lily is reading about sex addicts. devon comes home, he got his schedule switched. and asks about her books. she’s trying to understand about what daniel is going through. she says they had a nice talk. she says that she’s not ready to give up on their marriage.

devon says that she’s the best person he knows, smart, caring, pretty. she deserves someone better than daniel.

kevin tells amber and daniel that carson has a lot at stake.

paul asks jana how she is. she says she gets dizzy. paul says there’s no reason to hide. jana will only talk to kevin. she leaves for another MRI. michael tells paul that she’s trying to manipulate them. paul says kevin has to be involved.

jt asks victoria how it went. “it went.” she says it went civilly. they signed, talked, talked about abby, her pregnancy. it was normal.

victoria doesn’t feel relieved, just depressed. she blames herself, but jt says that’s not true, brad was to blame. they embrace.

amber goes to talk to cane.

jill wants to talk to amber about her and ji min’s wedding. she says they’re the only ones who know. jill says they’re going to elope.

daniel and lily talk. lily says that she wants to give him a second chance. she wants to help. daniel says he’ll read her books.

he tells her he’s in therapy. he says it’s more relaxing at a couple’s retreat away at green lake. lily seems open.

kevin goes to see jana. she says she missed him and kevin says he doesn’t care about her. jana says he does. he says not even if he dug to china.

he wants her to talk. he wants to talk about where she was. she says she was at their apartment. she says she wants to settle down and live in a cottage with kids. she wants to adopt from a third world country. kevin is horrified. “you a mother?” she says she wants to travel and have lots of kids. kevin wants to know where she went. jana avoids it. kevin says he’d rather cuddle a rattlesnake. he wants her to talk. she says she doesn’t like it there. she asks him to take her home. kevin says he wants to know about when she was on the run.

amber tells cane that she thinks that eloping is fun. cane says he hates that he can’t remember his wedding. cane says he wants to re-do the wedding in vegas at the same place they got married. amber says they can go anywhere. cane says she’d probably be happy to get married in the chancellor mansion. just as amber gets excited, cane violently kisses her to shut her up, and angrily shows her the surveillance footage from the liquor store. the man in the picture is not him.

amber says it wasn’t true about marrying him for his money. her mascara runs.

amber begs for him to believe she loves him. cane is pissed and unphased.

“lizzie borden,” kevin retorts.

paul says that her landlord and former boss both said that she would blank out when she talked to them or laughed hysterically during an order.

daniel and lily arrive home to find devon unconscious on the floor.

Nikki comes into Victor’s office with documents for a loan he promised her. She says she’s signed them already and after he signs them, he can give them to her secretary. Victor says he won’t do it. She says he can’t handle an independent woman. He says that she reacted as he suspected, but he’s refusing for business reasons. Nikki doesn’t believe him because the property she’s offering is worth more than the loan.

Brad and Logan wind up in an elevator together. They introduce themselves and Brad calls her “Dr. Armstrong, the legendary savior of Nick Newman.” Then the elevator gets stuck and the repair guy says he doesn’t know how long the elevator will be down. Logan tells Brad that she’s claustrophobic. It starts getting hot. Brad tells her it’s no time for modesty if she wants to take off some clothes. He offers her a footrub. Logan refuses. He says he’s not hitting on her, but teases that he is willing to hit on her to distract her, since it’s an emergency situation and all — not because she’s beautiful and accomplished and attractive. She gives in so he’ll shut up. Flirting, he rubs her feet only because “it is an emergency situation”. She asks why his marriage to Victoria didn’t work out, and Brad says it’s too personal to talk about his marriage.

“How can it be too personal when you’re rubbing my foot?” Logan points out.

“I didnt’ show enough strength,” Brad admitted.

Logan guesses by his answer that he was unfaithful to Victoria. She says maybe he married the wrong woman.

Brad jokes and says he’s feeling claustrophobic when the doors open and Victor sees them sprawled on the elevator floor together.

They have dinner together. Logan asks Brad about having to testify against Phyllis. She says it’s all over the news. He says that her blackmail hurt his marriage.

Logan says that the town is small and she can’t put the pieces together. Brad says he loses his place all the time. Brad says he’ll never say a good word about Phyllis and doesn’t want to talk about her unless it’s to hire a hitman.

Amber meets with Cane, and he mentions her website. She acts oblivious. He orders a screwdriver. He calls her on it and she bullshits. She says it was an experiement on psychology.

“The effects of nudity on the male psyche?”

“No… it was to see if men would pay money without showing them sex. I got an A.”

Cane comes by and says she seems nervous. She says Carson and her ran into each other. Carson says he was boring her with war stories.

Carson buys them orange juice since Cane won’t be smashed before throwing around weights.

nikki tells david that it was odd that victor turned his back on the loan. he says that victor is protesting stuff that happened while he was gone. nikki is worried that other lenders who find out that victor denied her a loan would do the same.

david gives her a gift to celebrate her ownership, it is a personal planner. he tells her to check today’s date. she opens it and says “dinner with david”. she says “sorry, no”. she says she’s been so many years being dominated by victor that she doesn’t have the time or inclination to get involved, but if she did he’d be at the top of the list.

david orders them room service.

“You had a long day!” David explains.

she tells him she had already had a loan in place in case. david says that he thinks that nikki enjoys battling victor.

nikki says she likes not having to answer to anyone. david says that she likes dealing with victor. “as much as you complain and protest, you enjoy taking victor on!”

At the gym, Victor notices carmen beating a punching bag. Her bare midriff shows off a belly button tattoo! He’s impressed with her workout. she says that she likes martial arts, and boxing is in her blood. Her dad had golden gloves in the navy. He asks if she wants to spar and she takes him on. Carmen calls him on giving Nikki the loan. She says he likes having her as an adversary.

victor stops by nikki’s office. he tells nikki he’s going to give her the loan and points out that their agreement is legally binding, she can’t use the same collateral with her backup loan.

lindsay the babysitter says hi to nick, he doesn’t remember her. phyllis checks on summer and nick starts to put his things away. “sleeping like a baby, which is appropriate”. he doesn’t know where things goes. phyllis helps him around the place.

they talk about making more room and breaking down walls. she says “what we have now works.” she asks him to make coffee.

she shows him “very important stuff drawer” shoelaces, recordable dvds, useless keys and garage door opener.

Nick says that sharing a home with a beautiful woman can’t be considered a terrible burden. Nick tells her she’s blushing. Phyllis denies it.

nick checks on summer. she thanks him and he says she doesn’t have to thank him. she says it’s early but she’s going to bed. nick says he’s wide awake. nick asked if it was ok if he crashed on the couch. phyllis tells him she doesn’t snore. she says for selfish reasons she minds, but she understands.

phyllis comes downstairs to the couch and watches nick sleep. he wakens. she asks if he minds if she joins him. she takes her robe off and lies on top of him. they kiss. he says it’s like a fantasy and he sees why he married her.

she asks to sleep by him, he says he doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

“are you testing my willpower?” nick asks.

“i’m testing mine.” phyllis replies.

kevin tells daniel to find new women. daniel says he misses lily. amber comes and tells them about her website. “you might get voted out of the mansion” amber says to find out who he is. she found his room key.

kevin says he will not break into his room. she says that she’ll go with her. daniel caves in and says he’ll go when amber says she’ll go by himself. amber calls cane to make sure he’s still occupied and he is.

Daniel and Amber break into Carson’s room as Kevin goes to the bar and distracts Carson. Amber finds a detailed file of Amber, Kevin, and Daniel, with pictures of Amber with Plum in LA.
kevin tries to distract carson but carson is too tired. “i’m sorry sir but i never leave a man behind.” broken neck, drink to plum.

the three of them share beers. carson smoothly gets a waitresses phone number. he tells her that he can’t find her number anywhere, and she says she never gave it to him. he says that’s easy to fix, give it to me now, and she does. kevin is impressed. kevin tries to buy another round but cane says he has to get home to his wife.

“i didn’t know married means whipped,” kevin teases.

“actually,” cane quips back. “married means every night and most afternoons.”

kevin applauds her “performance”. she begs for him to help her. she says she doesn’t want to die there.
